Cocaine and cannabis discovered in Ayer’s Cliff home

AYER’S CLIFF — The Sûreté du Québec say they have arrested a 50-year-old man from Ayer’s Cliff after seizing fifteen bags of cocaine and forty grams of cannabis during a search yesterday.

According to sergeant Aurélie Guindon, the operation took place on rue Clough following a narcotics investigation.

The suspect, who police say is suspected of being involved in drug trafficking in the region, was arrested on the scene.

In addition to the seized drugs, investigators say they also discovered $600 in cash.

The 50-year-old man was detained overnight and is expected to appear today at the Sherbrooke courthouse in connection with this police operation.
