COATICOOK — Police say that two men have been arrested after they raided a duplex in Coaticook Thursday evening following a tip from the public about a possible meth lab at the location.
The raid took place on rue Ottawa at around 5:30 p.m.
Authorities say they discovered items that would suggest that the place was being used in the production of methamphetamine.
Two men were arrested in connection with this incident, and police say they are currently question them.
Police also conducted another search at the home of one of the individuals arrested, as well as a warehouse in a nearby village.
Police say there was no need for an evacuation at the scene, as it was not an active lab.
The process of “cooking” methamphetamine is dangerous as it involves poisonous, flammable, and explosive chemicals.
The investigation is ongoing.
