MAGOG — Police say that they have arrested three suspects for the burglary that occurred back in December at the Comptoir familial de Magog, located on Rue Lasalle.
The break-in happened on the day after Christmas, with the thieves caught on surveillance cameras loading several bags of clothing and toys inside a Dodge Caravan.
One of the suspects fled the scene on an electric bicycle.
Investigators with the Memphremagog Police Board say they positively identified the robbers, and on January 26 all three suspects were arrested. Charges will soon be filed against them in court.
Police report that the suspects are two women, aged 24 and 35, and a 22-year-old man.
“The three suspects were released by way of summons and none of them had a criminal record,” said Lieutenant Sylvain Guay, of the Memphrémagog police board.
Police also say that with the cooperation of two of the suspects, much of the stolen goods will be recovered.
